Apparently, many bloggers do this. And when you count how many (good) posts there have been lately, you can deduce fairly easily that I've been out of inspiration... Or busy. Rather the first, 'cause I don't have any problems typing at midnight, when usually isn't busy.
Since recs are such good fillers when inspiration's being a lousy bitch not hanging around, guess I better keep some. Let's start with one and see how it goes from there.
Rec 1 -- TV Series: True Blood
Do me a favour: Do. Not. Read. The. Damn. Books. Usually, books tend to be better than their film or TV series counterpart, but this here is the exception that confirms the rule.
And people, what an exception it is... It's dark, it's sweaty, it's bloody, it's brutally violent and it's addictive. Vampires in a fucking good way. (Way better than Twilight -- sorry to all the fervent fans (that reminds me: remind me to go see 'Vampires Suck' when it comes out. It'd be fun seeing the Twilight parody without having ever seen the original) -- series of which I read the first book and ritually burned it after. Okay, not burned, but tossed it. It deserved to be burned but I didn't want to put my house on fire. I do live there, after all, even if I agree that it deserved it). I would characterise it 'Sex, blood & heads that roll' if I had to make a bad pun. Here you go with some of them frankly genius promotional posters and the first season trailer.
This one is the classic one -- cool and cold.
And biblical.
This one kicks ass. See only dripping blood? Look again.
This one is an ad for the synthetic blood the friendly vamps are supposed to drink.
This one you just get because I think Alexander Skarsgård is hot.
